I’m going to actually spend some time on this site this week. I’ve got some new fanlistings and such, so that’ll be something I’ll post about later.

Yup, I did.
I applied for one of the fanlistings I was on about earlier. Hopefully I’ll get it because, well, I’m done with the site.
Not to sound vain, but the layout I made is so pretty and so simple I could just eat it. No, really. It’s a pale red/pink and green and it reminds me of candy, and it’s so cute I could eat it. Except that I’m sure Apple wouldn’t cover that in the warranty. “Customer eats computer”…? Not likely.
I was also surfing around the Adoptions board at TFL and came across someone adopting out a fanlisting that I had passed up quite some time ago. I applied.
The likelihood of me getting this fanlisting is pretty low, but I figured it was worth a shot. I feel kinda like an ice cube that got too close to the coffee pot…
There was an article that got posted on my school’s student site with stuff about hurricanes. It’s hurricane season and they were encouraging people to get survival kids (canned foods, lighters, candles, flashlights, batteries, the usual) and make sure vehicles stay filled with gas because there will be a shortage soon after a hurricane. I guess that’s the price I pay for going to school in Florida. <3 The tornadoes don’t really scare me; I mean, they do, but I grew up with tornadoes and I know how to deal with tornadoes and I know what to do when there is a threat of one or if there is one upon me (which has happened) but hurricanes? Not a clue.
Right now, I’m totally into Nada Surf. They’re a lot calmer than the things I normally listen to (My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Green Day, Ramones, Taking Back Sunday, Mindless Self-Indulgence). I’ve been pretty obsessed with Popular, Always Love, and What’s Your Secret? and I can’t say that any of the other songs I’ve heard disappoint me. Popular also has one of the best music videos ever. And the girl that plays the lead cheerleader is a pretty good actress. Actually, most of the acting was right on.
Jenny’s still here haha.
She’s chillin’, stealin’ my neighbor’s internet, because hers at her boarding house (or, well, that’s what it looks like anyhow) really sucks. She can’t even check her email there. Luckily I have neighbors that don’t realize they need to put a password on their wireless internet. Ya know, since I’m hooked up to a cable since my mom (or perhaps I) lost the installation disk to set up the wireless router I have here.
Taking Back Sunday is rockin’ my socks right now.
