Chickens and Other Random Things

Took my Digital Audio Design final today. It was really easy. Almost too easy, in fact. I’m almost certain I have a 100%, but at the very least, an A :) Yay for me! Very exciting. Now I just have to get through my Physics final tomorrow. I’m hoping to pull off a really strong B in that class. I’ve gotten really high B’s on all my tests so far and A’s on my quizzes. Hopefully I can pull off a B. Maybe that’ll counteract my Advanced Computer Graphics class where my instructor gave me 50% on the practicums where I know for a fact I didn’t do that badly. He won’t respond to my emails so note to self: email Eric again.

I think I’m ready to post my Frerard fiction. Here, anyhow. Don’t know about LiveJournal. Think they’d be mad if I directed them here for the fic? I don’t know. I’d really like to keep it all in one place but oh well. I might just have to post it on my LiveJournal account that I’ve used maybe three times. Then again, if I keep all my fiction there, then I can link it from here, right? Right. Of course.

Schedule for next month got posted. Both of my classes for next month are at night: 5pm-9pm. The labs are yet to be determined. I’m going to have to pull some strings for the My Chemical Romance concerts. While I’m not terribly happy about that, I mean, I’ve had these tickets and the plane tickets for a couple of months now. Jenny and I have decided that we’re going to just pretend our friend in St. Louis is getting married and we are supposed to be there. We won’t pull that out until we know we have to. I mean, if the last days are project turn-ins and we don’t have to do anything else, then that would be absolutely perfect and no harm done. What’s really going to suck is getting to the Alabama concert. Lab is until, probably 1am, and then we gotta head out right then. We’ll get into Birmingham around 9 or 10 that morning so we’ll have some time to crap around and whatever. It’ll be kind of like Camden where we have to skip on the showering but who cares? It’s My Chemical Romance!!

Speaking of trips, my friend Octavia is getting married (in Kansas City! LOL) and she wants me to be there. I’m not totally sure if I can make it, though, because I don’t even have a date yet. Supposedly it’s September 29th but my best friend Tara told me not to hold her to that because she didn’t really remember. So I’m waiting on an official date for that.

And, as for the chickens: I started reading a fiction where Frank has become very attached to chicks (as in baby chickens). It’s rather cute except for all of the disgusting stereotypes of hillbillies. While that annoys me, I know people like that exist, so I’m hoping this is from the author’s personal experience. I don’t know, but the stereotypes are annoying. Unfortunately it’s going in a really good direction so I can’t really complain a whole lot. Besides, Frank Iero and baby chickens? Awwwww…….

Trashed Creative Mind

April 1st, 2008 @ 3:07am | Permalink | Comments(0) »

So I haven’t really been to bed before 2am since Spring Break started. Most often, I’d go to bed around 3 or 4. It’s about 3am and my mind is still pretty alert. Not really a good thing when I have physics tomorrow.

I just wrote a really freaking long fan fiction, though. I mean, I’ve been writing a Ryan Ross/Frank Iero and that’s about 30 pages (been on that since Friday) but tonight I wrote something that really kind of tore at my heart. I don’t even really know where it came from. I was looking through the 100 word challenge that Jenny and I came up with and I knew I wanted to write something, but I wasn’t sure what. Just then, “We Don’t Have To Look Back Now” by Puddle of Mudd (my hometown boys, haha) started playing in iTunes, and for some reason, I was hooked. I’ve heard the song before, a couple of times, and I always kind of felt “something” towards this song. And then this fiction came pouring out of me. It was amazing. It’s a Frank Iero/Gerard Way (Frerard, if you please). I have titled it “We Don’t Have To Look Back Now” for now but I need to get my lovely beta Liane to look it over. She’s already finished with the Ryan/Frank, tentatively titled “Harlequins and Mannequins”, and she loved it. She found a few spelling/grammar errors that she corrected. I asked her to tell me what they were so I can change them on my local Word document.

Speaking of Microsoft Word. It won’t work. It just…has quit opening. I’m thinking my computer just needs a break seeing as now I never turn it off. *sigh* Must…not…have…separation….anxiety…

Alright, I really need to go to bed. No, shower and go to bed. Yeah, that’s it. And turn my computer off. Poor Mac :(

I think I’m getting the hang of this.

Seriously.

I’m quite proud of this layout, to be entirely honest. The original image as well as the layout will definitely be going into my portfolio. I’ve done a photo manipulation like this years ago. It was an acoustic guitar with angel wings over a lake, glowing slightly. For the time, it was a real challenge for myself. The layout here was quite a challenge as well. Not only was I really delving into WordPress (without mucking it up…entirely) but the image itself was a stretch. It look a couple layers of smart objects because I wanted to preserve the originals as much as possible just in case I royally screwed it up. However, I think it’s all coming together nicely.

Just in time for school to start tomorrow. Gotta go to the international airport to pick up Jenny around, oh, say, 9:27 in the morning. Bleh. I haven’t seen single digits the entire span of spring break. Okay, so I haven’t seen single digits for a month. Class/lab was starting at 1:15 so of course I slept in until at least 11.

Alright, I think I’ve babbled enough for this (kind of) test entry. Going to check out ‘tags’ and such because I’ve never quite used them before.

Another random test post

Yup, just kind of randomly posting stuff to see how this thingy works. Haven’t upgraded to this version yet and I’m thinking I like it!

I’m really kind of liking the fact I can expand this box. Hm. Yes, I am. And the visual editor looks pretty hawt. And the HTML editor is pretty nifty.
